Last week was a special week!

It has been a busy week with very little knitting but a lot of celebrating. My son William celebrated his 16th birthday this past Thursday. He had a cake made in the shape of a New York Yankees baseball. One of his favorite gifts was an electric guitar.

After many years of religious education, William was confirmed this past Saturday. His Confirmation was so special, his Aunts and Uncles were in town to be a part of the event. I got a wonderful picture of William and the Archbishop. William was truly beaming and quite proud.

After William was confirmed, we enjoyed a special dinner at Del Friscos where he ended the meal with a wonderful chocolate mousse.

It's been quite a nice end to the school year for us and our son. We are also very proud of William being a founding member of his school's chapter of Amnesty International. I always knew he had political interests. And tonight we get to see William's favorite team, the Yankees at Coors Field. What a great start to the summer!!!
